How to Find Serenity as a Mother and Cope With Overwhelm
You love your children. You are grateful to be their mother. But that doesn't mean motherhood is always easy.
There are days when you're exhausted before the day has even properly begun. You're constantly doing for everyone else, yet somehow still feel like you're not doing enough. You may feel guilty, overwhelmed, frustrated, or wonder where the woman you once were disappeared to.
I know these feelings because I've been there.
As a mother of six who homeschooled my children while juggling a home, marriage, writing, and all the unexpected things life threw my way, there were seasons when motherhood completely overwhelmed me.
Tranquil Muslim Mom grew out of those seasons.
This isn't a book about becoming the perfect Muslim mother. It's about learning how to find more peace within the motherhood Allah SWT has given you, cope better with its challenges, take care of yourself along the way, and actually enjoy this precious part of your life.
Are You Overwhelmed By Motherhood?
Maybe you wake up already thinking about everything you need to get done. The meals, laundry, appointments, schoolwork, mess, children who need you, and the never-ending mental list running through your head.
And somewhere on that list is you. Usually near the bottom.
Sometimes the problem isn't that we don't love being mothers. It's that we haven't learned how to cope with everything motherhood requires of us without completely losing ourselves in the process.
That's what I want to help you with in Tranquil Muslim Mom.
This Book Is For The Mom Who...
Feels overwhelmed by everything on her plate.
Struggles with mom guilt and wonders if she's doing enough.
Feels pressured to live up to the “ideal mother.”
Has spent so much time caring for everyone else that she's forgotten herself.
Wants practical ways to make motherhood more peaceful, manageable, and enjoyable.
You don't need to overhaul your entire life. Sometimes you simply need to look at motherhood differently and begin changing the things that are making it harder than it needs to be.
What's Inside Tranquil Muslim Mom?
I've divided the book into four parts because I don't want to throw a hundred solutions at an already overwhelmed mother.
We begin with peace, move into coping, learn how to thrive, and finally look at how to actually enjoy our motherhood.
Part One: Peaceful Motherhood
Before you can change how you experience motherhood, you need to understand what motherhood really is. We'll look at the reality of being a mother, let go of unrealistic ideas about being the “ideal mother,” and learn to accept ourselves, our role, our imperfections, our fitrah, and even the difficulties that come with motherhood.
Part Two: Coping Motherhood
Once you begin making peace with motherhood, you can learn how to cope with its daily challenges better. We'll work on changing your mindset, setting realistic standards and boundaries, and letting go of negative thoughts and behaviors that can make motherhood harder than it needs to be.
Part Three: Thriving Motherhood
I don't want you to spend your entire motherhood simply surviving. This part helps you rediscover who you are as a woman, let go of the dreaded mom guilt, and finally make your mom-care a priority.
Part Four: Enjoying Motherhood
Finally, we'll look at practical ways to make motherhood easier and more beautiful. You'll learn how to simplify your daily life, reduce unnecessary work, nurture yourself, strengthen your relationships and faith, and make more room for the things that bring you peace and joy.
From One Mom To Another
I didn't write this book because I had motherhood perfectly figured out.
Quite the opposite.
Years ago, my husband was working long hours, my children were young and dependent, I was homeschooling, my parents had passed away, my family lived far away, and because we moved frequently, maintaining friendships was difficult.
I remember filling out a medical form one day and realizing I didn't even know who to put down as my emergency contact.
That moment stayed with me.
I was giving so much of myself to my family that somewhere along the way, I had become isolated, overwhelmed, and exhausted.
So I started looking for ways to cope. I searched for advice, tried different things, made plenty of mistakes, and learned what helped and what didn't.
Those experiences eventually became Tranquil Muslim Mom.
I'm not writing to you from a textbook. I'm writing to you as another mother who has gone through different seasons of motherhood and learned quite a few things through trial and error.
And one of the most important things motherhood taught me is this:
The hard season you're in right now won't always look the way it does today.
Don't Just Read It. Reflect On It.
Sometimes we read something that really resonates with us. We think, "I need to do that," then close the book...and go right back to our busy lives.
That's why I created the Tranquil Muslim Mom Reflection Journal.
The journal was designed as a companion to the Tranquil Muslim Mom book. It follows the book chapter by chapter, giving you a private place to work through the reflection questions and exercises and apply what you're learning to your own motherhood journey.
This isn't homework. It's simply a place for you to sit quietly, think, write, and be honest with yourself about what you need and what you may want to change.

Dear Mom, You Matter Too
It's easy to spend years caring for everyone around you and forget that you are a person who needs care too.
You cannot control every difficulty motherhood brings you, but you can begin changing how you respond to those difficulties, how you care for yourself through them, and how you experience this precious role Allah SWT has given you.
That's what I hope Tranquil Muslim Mom helps you do.
Not become a perfect mother. Just a more peaceful, confident, cared-for, and tranquil Muslim mom.

This is just a beautiful book. Lots of good advice. I am not a mother yet. But reading this book has made me so knowledgeable and quite prepared for motherhood. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing resource for mothers
I loved this book and all the sage advice and wisdom the author shares!! I’m a first time mom of a baby and always looking for parenting books to read- this one was perfect for me (and would be for any expecting, new, or experienced mama). It’s rare to find such great advice by a Muslim woman for Muslim women in regards to motherhood. This book was a quick read and felt like I was sitting down with a close friend for a chat about life and motherhood. The journal prompts were also very helpful.
